Meetings with the public will be held to provide information on the 2012 Long Range State Transportation Plan and to seek comment.
The initial series of six public meetings will be scheduled for late-May and early-June to introduce the study, seek input regarding issues, collect information on the public's vision for the 2012 Long Range State Transportation Plan, and identify priorities that will assist in developing the overarching framework for the development of IDOT programs for the next 20 plus years. These meetings will be held around the state at locations representing geographic regions and once dates are confirmed they will be posted on the website.
Once a preliminary Plan has been drafted, a second series of five public meetings will be scheduled between mid-August and early-September. At this round of final public meetings, stakeholders will be able to comment of the draft amendments to the 2012 Long Range State Transportation Plan. These meetings will be held around the state at locations representing geographic regions and once dates are confirmed they will be posted on the website.
The public meetings will be in an open house format and will include exhibits to provide background information. IDOT and study team representatives will be available to answer questions and listen to comments and concerns.
