State Bicycle Plan

The Illinois Department of Transportation has completed its second series of meetings on the State Bicycle Plan. We received many comments since the first meeting. We have compiled those comments into a new comment form that we are asking planners, government officials, advocates and users to review and fill out. From these forms we have asked our consultants, Wight Engineering and Pangaea to build a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) model that uses your preferences and the data available to help us sort out priorities and determine what makes a bicycle project a great project. Once they have developed this model, we will host another meeting so that you can see the type of projects that are a greater and lesser priority to you.
